Taylor Jensen is a Canadian country artist and songwriter from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, creating music and spaces rooted in honesty, connection, and belonging.

Blending sharp storytelling with a modern coastal edge, Jensen's music explores the beautifully complicated moments that make us human—from heartbreak and healing to self-discovery, resilience, and finding joy in the middle of life's uncertainty.

2026 marks a breakout year for Jensen. Following the release of her bold new single, "One Hell of a Show," she had been selected as one of just eight semi-finalists in the Boots and Hearts Emerging Artist Showcase, one of Canada's premier platforms for emerging country talent. The recognition signals an exciting new chapter as she continues to establish herself as one of the country's rising voices.

At the heart of everything she creates is a desire to build more than a music career. She's creating a world listeners can grow alongside, return to, and call home.

Songwriting has always been at the centre of Jensen's artistry. Drawn to stories that are both deeply personal and universally relatable, she has collaborated with acclaimed Canadian songwriters including Dave Sampson and Annika Catharina, continuing to refine a voice that is equal parts vulnerable, witty, and authentic.

Known for her warm presence both on and off stage, Jensen has cultivated a growing audience by inviting listeners behind the curtain and into the everyday moments that shape her artistry. Her work is grounded in authenticity, proving that connection often comes from embracing imperfections rather than hiding them.

Over the past couple of years, Jensen has earned editorial support from Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music, accumulated more than 250,000 collective streams, and shared stages with celebrated Canadian artists including Ria Mae and Jade Eagleson. She was selected to perform at the Diamonds in the Rough stage during the 2025 Canadian Country Music Association Awards, chosen for the CCMA Mentorship Initiative, performed at award-winning festivals including Cavendish Beach Music Festival, and received funding support through Music Nova Scotia. Opportunities that continue to shape her growth as an artist and songwriter.

Earlier this year, Jensen travelled to Vancouver, British Columbia, to record a new collection of music alongside producers Garrett Ward and Dan Botch of The Renaissance Music, unveiling her most confident, cinematic, and fearless work to date.

Whether through a fiery country anthem, an intimate acoustic performance, or the community she's built online, Taylor Jensen's mission remains the same: to create spaces where people can exhale, feel a little less alone, and remember that they belong exactly as they are.

Rooted in the East Coast and guided by intuition, she's carving out her own lane in Canadian country music. One story, one song, and one unforgettable show at a time.

“The wordplay alone deserves a round of applause. “Over the top, over your lies, wanting her to come over, an overachiever, pushing me over the limit…” It’s not just clever—it’s cathartic. Each “over” slices through the track like a sharp turn on a backroad, swerving between anger, hurt, and clarity. And when she lands on the line, “So if you see me at the bar on a Saturday night, don’t bother calling me over,” it hits like a mic drop wrapped in rhinestones. ” - AltRecess
